Cado Halloween Molds back for 2020
Just a quick update for anyone who's willing to listen; the Halloween blow molds produced by Cado Products are in stock and being sold for the 2020 season. They are being sold in stores at certain locations and online. My closest store evidently has a few in stock, so it seems they definitely have them in stores at select locations. They have the formerly Grand Venture Ghost with Pumpkins, $32, and the 22" Union Pumpkin, $27. They dont seem to have the black candles like they did the past couple years, which is a shame. I also do believe they raised the price of the pumpkin.
So if you are a collector lacking the aforementioned molds, already have them and want duplicates, or otherwise, head on over to Ace Hardware or go online at Acehardwa…
Cado Products Possibly Making Union 1987 Green Cauldron Blow Mold
I stumbled across a green cauldron/pot blow mold on partycity.com and I thought it looked awfully familiar to the old 1987 green cauldrons Union used to make. Its listed as 8" wide and 6" tall on party city.com, which matches the exact size of the '87 8" green cauldron (they also made a larger one that was 12 inches I believe). I compared the two and they look relatively the same, the new one has a carry handle which is new, but the mold itself seems the same. Besides the handle, the new one seems to have a deeper green hue but that's about it. Further supporting my theory that this is a reused Union mold is that Cado is making the 12" black halloween version and it was actually featured in their latest catalog, so why not make the green o…
New for 2020 Blow Molds by Pan Asian Creations
I haven't seen these blow molds before on pan asian.com, so I'm assuming they're new for 2020. Featured in the images provided are what appears to be a collection of easter, valentines day and st Patrick's molds as listed below:
- Chick in Egg
- Realistic Easter Bunny
- St Patrick's Lantern
- Valentines Rubber Ducky (2 versions)
- Easter Bunny
It seems as though a few are battery operated and a few are classic plug ins. The st Patrick's lantern definitely looks to be battery, as does the first version of the duck (the one covered in hearts) as it appears to have a purple glow to it. If these are new like I think, I hope they are distributed in some larger stores like Walmart so more people can get them, including myself, as I like buying items in stores r…
