Blow Mold FAQs
Is the year stamp on my blow mold the year it was made?
No, the year stamped on a blow mold ONLY means the year the steel mold to make it was created. Oftentimes a blow mold will be produced for many years without having its original date removed or altered. Some common examples include the Santa Lamp and Pumpkin Man.
What is the value of my blow mold?
Blow Molds have no set value, it always depends on availability and quantity made. The more examples of something produced will usually bring the value down, however there will always be demand for popular pieces. Always consider looking at SOLD prices rather than going off overly high asking prices when using sites such as eBay or other selling websites.
My Blow Mold is not marked, who made it?
While our wiki here is limited, we do offer a good amount of information regarding common blow molds and their manufacturers. If your mold is unmarked, we suggest checking out the Blow-Molded website which has a more comprehensive database for a variety of obscure pieces.
